ZIMRA recovers $153 million in leakages warv

The Zimbabwe Revenue Authority has directly recovered $153,78 million during the year ended December 31, 2019, as it moves to fight revenue leakages.

The national tax collector said its main focus was to use modern audit and investigating techniques to detect revenue declaration anomalies.

ZIMRA said its partnerships with other law enforcement agencies and the Zimbabwe Anti-Corruption Commission have started yielding positive results.

Fadzai Mazani, ZIMRA’s commissioner-general said a total of 601 cases were investigated last year.
